Overview
Turkey is one of the largest digital commerce markets in the MENA region and a gateway between Europe and Asia. Digital payment adoption is high, reflecting a mature and digitally-active consumer base.
The payment landscape is card-dominant, with credit cards accounting for a major share of e-commerce volume — driven in part by Turkey's strong installment culture, where multi-installment credit card payments (taksit) are embedded in consumer checkout behavior. Troy, Turkey's domestic card scheme, captures meaningful share that international-only processors cannot reach.
