Egypt is EBANX's primary market in North Africa, with one of the fastest e-commerce growth rates in the portfolio. The payment landscape is defined by cash: cash payments and Fawry together account for the majority of e-commerce volume, reflecting a predominantly cash-based economy.
Cards and digital wallets are growing but remain secondary rails. The market is heavily domestic, with gaming and streaming as key verticals for digital-native consumer segments.

Refunds
- Fawry refunds have no date restrictions on processing. Card refunds are sent to the card acquirer. No bank account details are collected for Egypt refunds.
