Overview

Brazil is the largest digital commerce market in Latin America. The market is defined by two dominant payment rails: Pix — the central bank's instant payment system — and credit cards, which together account for the vast majority of e-commerce volume. Pix adoption has been one of the fastest payment transformations globally, and its recurring variant (Pix Automatico) is actively reshaping the subscription economy. Installments on credit cards remain structurally embedded in consumer behavior, particularly for higher-ticket purchases.

Brazil is a mature market with high digital buyer penetration, but payment method complexity and local infrastructure knowledge remain key conversion levers.
