Yuno

Yuno is a payment orchestration platform that enables merchants to route and manage transactions across multiple payment providers through a single integration. By connecting EBANX as a processor in Yuno, merchants can accept local payment methods across Latin America and Africa without building a direct EBANX API integration.

This guide covers how to configure EBANX as a payment connection within Yuno, the supported payment methods and countries, testing procedures, and troubleshooting.

Features

  • Payment orchestration - Route payments to EBANX through Yuno's dashboard without additional API integration.
  • Local payment methods - Accept credit/debit cards, Pix, Boleto, OXXO, PSE, and other local methods processed by EBANX via Yuno's checkout.
  • Smart routing - Use Yuno's routing engine to direct transactions to EBANX based on rules such as country, payment method, or cost.
  • Refunds and cancellations - Manage refunds and cancellations for EBANX-processed transactions directly from the Yuno dashboard or API.
  • 3D Secure - Enable 3DS authentication for card payments processed through EBANX.
  • Fraud prevention - Leverage Yuno's anti-fraud integrations alongside EBANX processing.
  • Unified reporting - View all EBANX transactions within Yuno's centralized dashboard.

How it works

  1. 1 Add EBANX as a payment connection in the Yuno dashboard using your EBANX Integration Key.

  2. 2 Configure routing rules to direct transactions to EBANX based on country, payment method, or cost.

  3. 3 Create payments using Yuno's SDKs or API. Yuno routes the transaction to EBANX automatically based on your rules.

  4. 4 Monitor payment status through Yuno's dashboard or webhook notifications.

Requirements

Before starting the integration, ensure you have the following:

  • Yuno account - An active Yuno account with access to the Yuno dashboard. If you do not have one, sign up at Yuno.
  • EBANX credentials - Your EBANX Integration Key. If you do not have one, complete the Merchant Signup Form.
  • Yuno API credentials - Your Yuno API keys, available from the Developers section in the Yuno dashboard settings.

Instructions

Follow the steps below to connect EBANX as a processor in Yuno.

  1. Access the Yuno dashboard

Log in to your Yuno dashboard. If you do not have an account yet, sign up at Yuno and complete the registration process.

Switch to the correct environment. Use the environment toggle at the top of the dashboard to switch between Sandbox (for testing) and Live (for production). Start in Sandbox to validate your configuration before going live.

  2. Add EBANX as a connection

Navigate to Connections. In the left sidebar, go to Connections and select the Explore tab to view available payment providers.

Search for EBANX. Use the search box to find EBANX in the list, then click Connect.

Enter your EBANX credentials. Provide the required information:

    FieldDescription
Connection nameA name to identify this connection (e.g., "EBANX Production")
    Integration KeyYour EBANX Integration Key

Configure 3DS credentials (optional). If you want to enable 3D Secure for card payments, check the 3DS Credentials option and enter the required data.

Set up costs (optional). On the next screen, you can configure processing costs for use in Smart Routing and Reconciliations. This step is optional.

Select accounts. Choose the accounts that should have access to this connection, then click Save.

  3. Configure routing rules

Navigate to Routing. In the left sidebar, go to Routing to configure how payments are directed to EBANX.

Create routing rules. Set up rules to route specific payment methods, countries, or transaction types to EBANX. For example, you can route all Brazilian Pix payments to EBANX while using a different processor for other regions.

Enable Smart Routing (optional). If you configured processing costs in the previous step, you can activate Smart Routing to let Yuno automatically select the most cost-effective processor for each transaction.

  4. Integrate Yuno checkout

Once EBANX is connected and routing is configured, create payments using Yuno's SDKs or API. Yuno handles routing the transaction to EBANX automatically.

Using Yuno SDKs (recommended). Yuno provides Web, iOS, and Android SDKs that manage the full checkout experience, including payment method selection, fraud prevention, and 3DS. See the Yuno SDK documentation for setup instructions.

Using Yuno API. If you prefer server-to-server integration, use Yuno's API to create payments directly. This requires PCI certification for card payments. Refer to the Yuno API Reference for details.

    Info

For every implementation, use the payment status and sub_status as the primary reference for the payment state, as a single payment can have multiple transactions associated with it.

  5. Configure webhooks

Set up Yuno webhooks to receive asynchronous notifications about payment status changes, including transactions processed by EBANX.

In the Yuno dashboard, go to Settings > Developers and select the Webhooks tab. Add a webhook endpoint URL and select the events you want to receive (e.g., payment status updates, refund confirmations).

Yuno consolidates notifications from all connected processors, including EBANX, into a single webhook format. You do not need to configure separate EBANX webhooks.

For details on webhook events and payload structure, see the Yuno Webhooks documentation.

  6. Congratulations!

Your Yuno integration is now configured to process payments through EBANX. Use the testing section below to validate your setup before going live.

Limitations

General limitations

  • No direct EBANX API access - Merchants interact exclusively with the Yuno API and SDKs. EBANX-specific features not exposed through Yuno (such as EBANX Payment Page or EBANX.js) are not available.
  • Payment method availability - Not all EBANX payment methods may be available through Yuno. The supported methods depend on your Yuno configuration and EBANX contract.
  • Installment support - Installment options vary by country and card brand. Consult your EBANX account manager for specific installment ranges.
  • Currency restrictions - Each payment method supports specific currencies. Cross-currency transactions depend on EBANX's currency conversion capabilities.

Refunds

You can manage refunds and cancellations for EBANX-processed transactions through Yuno:

  • From the dashboard - Go to Payments, find the transaction, and select Refund or Cancel.
  • Via the API - Use the Yuno Refund or Cancel endpoints.
Warning

Refund availability depends on the payment method and country. Card refunds are generally available for up to 180 days. Some alternative payment methods may have shorter refund windows or may not support refunds.

Testing

To test your EBANX integration through Yuno:

  1. Switch to Sandbox - Use the environment toggle in the Yuno dashboard to ensure you are in Sandbox mode.
  2. Use sandbox credentials - Make sure your EBANX connection in Yuno is configured with EBANX sandbox credentials (not production keys).
  3. Create test payments - Use Yuno's SDKs or API to create test payments. Verify that transactions route correctly to EBANX and that status updates are received via webhooks.
  4. Validate all payment methods - Test each payment method you plan to use (cards, Pix, Boleto, etc.) to confirm they work as expected.

For EBANX-specific test data, refer to the EBANX sandbox test resources.

Going live

Before processing real transactions, verify the following:

  • EBANX has confirmed your merchant account is active for production.
  • Your EBANX connection in Yuno is configured with production credentials.
  • Yuno account is activated for Live mode.
  • Routing rules are configured for production traffic.
  • Webhook endpoints are configured and responding correctly.
  • End-to-end payment flow tested in Sandbox for all required payment methods.
  • Refund and cancellation flows tested.
  • 3DS configured (if applicable for card payments).

Troubleshooting

Payments are not routing to EBANX

Verify that routing rules are correctly configured in the Yuno dashboard under Routing. Ensure the rules match the payment method, country, and currency of your test transactions.

Connection fails when adding EBANX

Double-check your EBANX Integration Key. Ensure you are using the correct key for the environment (sandbox vs. production).

Payment status shows pending indefinitely

Some payment methods (Boleto, OXXO, Pix) are asynchronous. The customer must complete payment externally. Ensure webhooks are configured so you receive status updates when the payment is confirmed or expires.

3DS authentication failures

Ensure 3DS credentials are correctly configured in the EBANX connection settings within Yuno. Verify that your EBANX contract includes 3DS support.

Refund not processing

Confirm the payment method supports refunds. Some alternative payment methods (e.g., cash-based methods like Boleto and OXXO) do not support refunds. Also verify that the refund window has not expired.
