Getting Started with Payouts
Welcome to EBANX Academy Payouts! This guide will walk you through the essentials of setting up and testing your payout integration with EBANX. Whether you’re disbursing funds to customers or partners, you’ll need a few key components to begin. Below are the requirements to get you up and running quickly and securely.
Requirements
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
- EBANX Integration Key – Required to authenticate all API requests. You’ll need a sandbox integration key for testing and a production integration key when going live.
- REST Client (e.g., Postman or Insomnia) – Useful for testing HTTP requests and inspecting responses in the sandbox.
- EBANX Dashboard Access – To manage your integration keys, monitor payouts, and configure account settings.
- Recipient Information – You’ll need valid recipient data including name, document number, bank account (CBU/CVU), and account type.
- Compliance Documentation (Production Only) – Additional legal or business documents may be required before enabling live payouts.
- Basic Knowledge of REST APIs and JSON – Helpful for testing, debugging, and successfully integrating the payout workflow.
To get started with both EBANX Dashboard access and your integration key, complete the Merchant Signup Form.
Additional Prerequisites
Before you can process payouts, ensure you meet the following conditions:
- You’re already processing payments via EBANX’s Crossborder platform.
- You’re located outside Brazil, Chile, Colombia, or Mexico and sending payouts to these countries (payouts are always cross-border operations).
- You’ve submitted all required documents as per your EBANX agreement.
- You’ve completed a new compliance assessment for payouts.
- Payouts cannot be used for taxes or labor costs (e.g., salaries).
- For more information on what products and services are not supported, refer to EBANX's list of Restricted and Prohibited Products and Services.
- Each payee (CPF or CNPJ) is limited to a maximum of USD 10,000 per month in total payouts.
How it works
Payout contracting is a straightforward process overseen by our Compliance and Legal teams, consisting of the following steps.
For existing merchants
Activating Payout is a simple process guided by our Compliance and Legal teams:
- The merchant chooses to enable the EBANX Payout solution.
- A compliance review is conducted, during which additional information or documentation may be requested.
- Once approved, the Legal team amends the existing contract to include Payout services.
For new merchants
New merchants can contract the EBANX Payout solution through a streamlined process:
- The merchant opts to use EBANX Payout.
- The merchant completes a compliance onboarding process.
- Following approval, the Legal team drafts and issues a new contract.
