The Dominican Republic is a card-first market with growing e-commerce adoption. Credit cards lead as the primary payment method, with debit cards playing a supporting role.

Cross-border transactions account for a large share of total volume, driven by the country's deep commercial ties with North America. There is meaningful potential for growth in digital buyer adoption.

### Refunds

- Refunds for credit and debit card payments are sent to the card acquirer.
